Fashion Designing Overview

Fashion design is the applied art dedicated to clothing and lifestyle accessories created within the cultural and social influences of a specific time.
This course focuses on the following topics,

1. Textile
2. Illustration
3. Pattern making
4. Garment construction
5. History of fashion
6. EOD (Element of Design)

Color Wheel


Different Color Schemes:

1) Achromatic: Tints, shades between black and white.
e.g. Grey
2) Analogues: Any color under color wheel in any one direction is analogues.
e.g. Red, red orange, orange
3) Complementary: Opposite color on color wheel is complementary.
e.g. Red, green
4) Split complementary: Adjacent colors of complementary are split complementary.
e.g. blue, red orange, yellow orange
5) Clash complementary: Either adjacent colors of complementary are clash complementary.
e.g. blue red orange / blue, yellow orange
6) Neutral: The colors which are not found in color wheel are called neutral colors.
e.g. black, white, grey, etc
7) Cool colors & warm colors
